Inspired by today's entry in 30 Days of Prayer, but with a UK twist!
Daily verse
“‘Be careful not to practise your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
‘So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honoured by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

Stewardship’s 40 days of Lent generosity campaign inspired and influenced Lovefast.
We are told: it is more blessed to give than receive - and we have a unique opportunity to bless and be blessed during this holy month (for Muslims) of Ramadan.
Acts of generosity can have great impact. Hence our emphasis on prayer and action. Or ‘practising righteouness’ as Jesus puts it.
We focus our time and effort during these 30 days of prayer on both prayer and action.
It is a secret, personal thing - an attitude as much as anything. Don’t blow your own trumpet. Don’t let your right hand know what the left hand is doing.
But there’s the rub... we do want to engage with each other to encourage participation... so please do tell us your stories.
Lovefast is after all trying to be a social media campaign so that it can grow and increase impact!
